VALORANT Champions: Acend and KRU to Playoffs
While the group stage of VALORANT Champions 2021 is still ongoing, yet another two teams have made it to the championship’s playoffs. They are Acend, who placed first in Group A, and the runner-ups of Group B, KRU Esports.
In Group A, Acend managed to win two matches in a row – first, they defeated Keyd Stars (2-1), who are already eliminated from the event, and then managed to beat Team Envy with a 2-0 score. Meanwhile all matches of Group B have already concluded, with Liquid and KRU placing first and second respectively, and advancing to the playoffs.

Earlier Gambit and Fnatic made it to the playoffs thanks to playing first in their groups, while the teams with 0-2 and 1-2 scores have been eliminated. The final three participants of the playoffs will be determined tonight.
VALORANT Champions 2021 is being held offline in Berlin, Germany, with 16 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool. The playoffs stage will be played from December 8th to 12th and feature a single-elimination bracket, where quarterfinals and semifinals will be best-of-three, while the grand finals will be best-of-five.
